Sánchez’s proposal has different virtues: forcefulness, dynamics, accessibility and, above all, an enormously brilliant soloist (himself).

Composer, music producer, pianist, improviser and arranger, MOISÉS P. SÁNCHEZ is recognised as one of the top talents of the Spanish and European music scene. With a language of his own and a rich combination of the most diverse influences, his creations transcend the usual boundaries between genres and are surprising both for the wealth of resources employed and for their fascinating vitality and originality. Moisés was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2019 for his album Unbalanced: concerto for ensemble, and has received other important awards in the USA and Spain.

Throughout his over 20-year career, Moisés P. Sánchez has performed in outstanding programmes as FIAS (Madrid), Jazz Madrid, the Stresa Festival in Italy and the Vitoria-Gasteiz Jazz Festival, among many others. With his discography he traces a path of permanent exploration through a symphonic conception of his creations, which has become the key to his musical identity. This is equally evident in his adaptation projects of great composers such as J.S. Bach or Beethoven, where he brings his very personal vision of some of his most admired composers to bear.

A big deal of works were born under his direction as a musical producer of well-known Spanish pop stars and songwriters. Moisés has also developed a long list of new-born compositions such as the ballet ‘Electra’, a 2018 commission by the Spanish National Dance Company, and an extended and free version of Bartók’s ‘Concerto for orchestra’, premiered in March 2021 at the Auditorio Nacional (Madrid).

Moisés has collaborated as a pianist in recordings and live performances with notable and innovative musicians and projects such as John Adams and the Orquesta Nacional de España, Plácido Domingo, Benny Golson, Jorge Pardo, Chuck Loeb, Eric Marienthal, Wolfgang Haffner, Chano Domínguez, Ara Malikian, Perico Sambeat, Pablo M. Caminero, Ernesto Aurignac, Luis Verde, Cristina Mora, Javier Paxariño, Carmen París, María Toro, Pasión Vega, Nach, Noa Lur, Ara Malikian, Fernando Egozcue, Chema Vílchez, Maureen Choi…
