A vocalist with a powerful presence and a great gift for communication, SHEILA BLANCO has a solid stage career behind her. She has recorded seven albums with various line-ups, including notable projects with Federico Lechner (Puro Gershwin, Tango Jazz Trio + Sheila Blanco, among others). Her versatility has led her to work regularly with media such as Antena 3, Movistar Plus, Cadena SER and Los 40 Principales.
With her project Cantando a las Poetas del 27, Sheila has taken the poetry of the women of the Generation of ’27, one of the most important of the 20th century in Spain, to more than a hundred stages in Spain, the United States and Mexico, earning praise for her ability to bring music and literature together.
She was a member of Larry Martin’s band and later of Speak Jazzy, the continuation of the group after Martin’s death. She has collaborated and recorded with the band Patáx, Natural Funk and artists such as Javi Montes, Joe Eceiza, Jorge Marazu, Toni Brunet, Paco Ortega, Rebeca Jiménez, Pastora Soler, Raphael, Rebeca Rods, Alejandro Sanz, Rosa López, Ivanga Blue, Dani Diges, Mauri Sanchis, Eduardo Laguillo and Pedro Ruy Blas. She has also been part of the Black Light Gospel Choir and of the children’s theatre company Sin Fin.
Sheila Blanco combines her vocal talent with an unrivalled artistic sensitivity, establishing herself as one of the most versatile and inspiring performers on today’s music scene.
